Inhibition of Thrombin and of Fibrin Polymerization, Two Activities derived from Plasmin-digested Fibrinogen

Abstract

As was previously shown in our laboratory1, the clotting of fibrinogen initiated by one proteolytic enzyme (thrombin) is specifically inhibited by the products resulting from the action of another proteolytic enzyme (plasmin) on the same substrate.
