Determination of Carbon-14 in Plant Material by Wafer Counting

Abstract

A SIMPLE method for quantitatively estimating carbon-14 in plant material (for example, carbon-14 tagged herbicides, as in our own case) is to press the material into wafers and to count these directly with a Geiger or proportional counter.
