Abstract

PRICE1 reports an anomalous band at about 1,250 cm.−1 in the paraffin-oil mull spectrum of lithium borohydride at room temperature. This band does not occur in the room-temperature spectra of sodium borohydride2,3 and potassium borohydride3 or in the low-temperature spectra of sodium borohydride2,4 and potassium borohydride (Schutte, C. J. H., unpublished results).
