Abstract
IT has been previously reported1 that Vipera palestinae venom causes in vitro disk-sphere transformation of red blood cells in the presence of plasma without producing hæmolysis. This phenomenon could be reversed by suspending the spherical red cells in normal plasma. In the present work an attempt was made to establish whether similar changes of red blood cells occur also in vivo.
