Secondary Structure of Ribonucleic Acid in Solution

Abstract

IT has been shown previously that ribonucleic acid behaves as a coiled single-stranded1,2 molecule in solution. The results presented here indicate that an organized secondary structure which might involve intra-molecular bonds may be present.
