Abstract

ETHER extracts of maize-kernel pulp at pH 6 contain only part of the growth-promoting activity of the kernels. In Table 1 the activity of the expressed juice from ether-extracted maize kernels is compared with that of an equivalent concentration of ether-extractable material.
