Abstract
ANTIBIOTICS of actinomycete origin containing a guanidine group (such as streptomycin and viomycin) are known to have an antitubercular action. Recently a new antibiotic, primycin, was described1 as an agent active against various mycobacteria and Gram-positive pathogens (0.02 µgm./ml.), and also giving a positive Sakaguchi reaction.
