A Unified Theory of the Mechanism of Inhibition of Corrosion of Iron in Acid and Neutral Media based on the Electro-capillary Behaviour of Ions

Abstract

An attempt has been made to develop a single theory to explain the inhibition of corrosion of iron in both neutral and acid media on the basis of the electrical affinity of the metal/solution interface towards ions or neutral molecules present in the solution.
