Abstract
THE standard procedure for detecting phosphorus-32 in deoxyribonucleic acid by autoradiography is to hydrolyse the smears or sections in N HCl at 60° C. for 6–10 minutes. The acid hydrolysis removes RNA and most of the non-DNA phosphates.
