Abstract

THE study of amine-N-glycosides has been stimulated in recent years by the occurrence of this type of compound in nucleic acids and in certain co-enzymes. The present position is that, whereas the nucleosides are generally accepted as being N-furanosides, the structures of the simpler compounds of this type, such as aniline-N-glucoside (glucose anilide), have not yet been firmly established1.
