Abstract

THE effect of different times of sowing throughout the year on the growth and development of two varieties of 'mung' (Phaseolus radiatus Linn.)—Sona mung and I.P.28—sown in pots has been described fully in a recent paper1. In this note the effect of different times of sowing on the growth and development of mung sown in replicated small plots in the field will be discussed very briefly ; details will be published later.
