Use of Rotifera for Testing Analgesics, Narcotics and Similar Drugs

Abstract

THE assay of the analgesic power of therapeutic substances by means of rats cannot be carried out with any degree of precision. It has been found that the Rotifera can be employed for this purpose since they are extremely sensitive to killing agents unless they are previously narcotized1.
