Abstract
I WOULD like to make a reply to some of the very interesting comments on my article1 on the relations of science and ethics. I will try to be brief although some of the questions raised are probably due to the brevity of the original discussion. I will not allude to all the points of agreement, which are actually more numerous than some of the writers suggested. Thus I entirely agree with Dr. Matthews that ideas affect societies; in fact I supported this point by a quotation from Engels.
