Abstract
THE present, or second part, of the work of the Hon. Masauji Hachisuka on the birds of the Philippines contains the following orders? Columbiformes, Ralliformes, Pygopodiformes, Tubinariformes, Telmatoformes, Archeiformes, Anseriformes and Pelicaniformes. Mr. Hachisuka's Telmatoformes is merely another name for Dr. P. R. Lowe's Telmatomorphse, and the author also adopts the same sub-orders as created by Dr. Lowe for that order. As this embodies the very latest ideas on the subject of the classification of this most difficult group, the author has been wise in accepting for the present the order practically as defined by Dr. Lowe.
