Abstract

IN a recent issue of the Zeitschrift für Physik, Walther Kutzner has given the results of some careful measurements made with the view of testing the validity of Bateman's probability formula in its application to the emission of particles by polonium (Vide Zeit. f. Phys., vol. 21, pp. 281–298, 1924). He arrives at the following conclusions:
