Abstract
The electronic states (energies of localized and resonance levels, wave functions, charge density, and density of states) and optical absorption spectra of germanium clusters in silicon matrix are studied by the pseudo-potential method. The possibility of description of cluster states of germanium in silicon using the effective mass method is explored.
