Calculation of the Dynamic Stark Effect in the Many-Level Approximation

  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

A new method for calculating the dynamic Stark effect in a circular polarized electric field of arbitrary strength and frequency is proposed. The basic equations of the method are given. By way of illustration the results of calculation of the shift and splitting of energy levels of a He atom in a circular polarized electric field are considered.
