Detection of Hidden Welds in Thin Sheet Steels by Means of Magnetic-Noise Method

Abstract

The experimental results of the investigation of the possibility of detecting hidden welds located under a lacquer coating in an element of a real ferromagnetic structure are presented and discussed. The magnetic-noise method and the equipment realizing this method are used. As a result of the investigations, hidden welds whose presence is confirmed by other methods are detected.
