Abstract
Rheological properties of dilute and moderately concentrated aqueous solutions of mixtures of methyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose and gelation in these solutions were studied. Using the solvent vapor sorption, the compatibility of the polymer pair was examined and the composition range in which the thermodynamic compatibility is realized was determined.
