The Use of Refractory Castables in the Ferrous Metallurgy

Abstract

Products commercially available from the Ogneupornye Tekhnologii Joint-Stock Co. are described and their physicochemical characteristics presented. Results for refractory castables tested under industrial conditions are presented and compared with those of foreign analogs. Routes toward further improving convention castables and developing new materials are outlined.
