Effect of Cooling Rate in Heat Treatment on the Magnetic Properties of Amorphous Cobalt-Based Alloys of the AMAG Type

  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Abstract

Results of a study of the effect of a wide range of cooling rates in thermal and thermomagnetic treatment on the magnetic properties (permeability, coercive force, and coefficient of squareness) of amorphous strips from magnetically soft cobalt-based alloy AMAG 176 of the Co – Fe – Ni – Si – B system are considered. Variation of these properties is discussed.
