Abstract
New-generation steels developed and produced by the NOSTA Company (Orsko-Khalilovskii Iron and Steel Works) for modern welded structures are presented. Special features of production and microalloying of the steels, which have improved the combination of their mechanical properties, are analyzed. The characteristics of impact toughness, strength, and ductility of the steels and the properties of welded joints are considered. Examples of successful use of the new-generation steels in industrial objects, public buildings and constructions are presented.
