Materials Science Aims and scope

Abstract

We develop a numerical method for the evaluation of the density of corrosion current in a three-layer metallic material from the surface of a cylindrical pit whose radius is much smaller than its depth and show that the current density increases with the radius of the pit and decreases as the depth of the pit increases.
