The Optical Conductivity of La2−xSrxCuO4 in Connection with a Charge Stripe Scenario

Abstract

The in-plane optical conductivity of La2−xSrxCuO4 with 0.07 ≤ x ≤ 0.19 exhibits strong peaks in the far infrared. These features, which depend both on doping and temperature, can be associated with excitations of charge stripes, basing on results of different techniques on the same system and on recent theoretical calculations.
