Abstract

A new theory of diffusiophoresis of large volatile spherical aerosol droplets, which is a further development of the previous investigations, has been formed. Account has been taken of the influence of the evaporation coefficient α of the droplet liquid, the surface‐tension coefficient variable along the droplet surface, and internal flows in the droplet on the diffusiophoresis velocity. The formulas obtained enable one to directly find the velocity of motion of single large aerosol droplets in a binary gas mixture inhomogeneous in concentration.
