Abstract
We present a simple nonstatic generalization of the isothermal universe. The cosmological fluid obeys a barotropic equation of state of the form p=αρ. We employ a causal heat transport equation of the Maxwell–Cattaneo form to study the thermodynamical behavior of our model.
