Abstract
A model for predicting the kinetics of extraction of plasticizer from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) by different fuels is proposed. The effect of the thickness of the polymer container and, nature and temperature of the fuel on the process is demonstrated. Curves are found for calculating the parameters at different temperatures, including the temperature of use. The optimum cases for use of polymer material are determined. A method is proposed for reducing the rate of extraction of plasticizer by alcohol. Keywords: plasticizer, polyvinyl chloride, extraction, fuel.
