Treatment of Fuel through Ceramic Membranes

  • Published:
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils Aims and scope

Abstract

The possibility of using ceramic membranes in new systems of treating fuel at the sites of use or in the new fuel filters in engines was investigated. It was shown that these membranes increase the motor potential of the engines and fuel econom, and decrease harmful emissions by automotive transport. Key words: baromembrane processes, ceramic membranes, “charged” membranes, fuel economy, fuel treatment, fuel filters.
