Abstract
Summary: Hydroxyproline has the same integer molecular weight as leucine and isoleucine and is quantified with these by tandem mass spectrometry. An infant was diagnosed with hyperhydroxyprolinaemia following further evaluation of an elevated "leucine" level in newborn screening by tandem mass spectrometry.
