Abstract
We are presenting a 36-year-old male patientwith right flank pain and a history ofrecurrent urinary tract infection for threeyears. Radiographic intervention revealed aright partial ureteral duplication with a giantstone in size 9.6 cm in the ureteral limbdraining the non-functioning upper pole of theright kidney. Open ureterolithotomy and partialnephroureterectomy was performed by a rightflank incision. The presence of a ureteralpartial duplication created a ``yo-yophenomenon'', which interfered with stonepassage to the bladder and may cause such giantureteral stone.
