Lead Plated Sheet for Gasoline Tanks: Corrosion Resistance

Abstract

A procedure of passivating lead-electroplated sheet is developed at Bardin Central Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy. The procedure substantially enhances the corrosion resistance and adhesion with paint coatings and has no effect on the welding of gasoline tanks.
