Sol-Gel Synthesis of Monodispersed SiO2 Nanoparticles in the Presence of Organic Amines

Abstract

Preparation of monodispersed SiO2 nanoparticles of varied size by hydrolysis of tetramethoxysilane and polycondensation of the hydrolysis products was studied as influenced by the basicity and nucleophilicity of organic amines.
