Stark Broadening of Ne II and Ne III Spectral Lines

Abstract

Using a semiclassical approach, the widths and shifts of the spectral lines of three Ne II and six Ne III multiplets caused by collisions with electrons, protons, and helium ions at a density of perturbing particles of 1017 cm−3 and different temperatures have been calculated. The results obtained have been compared with the known experimental and theoretical data.
