Construction of Fine Functional Scales

  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

Scale graduation is the most difficult problem in calculations of functional scales for nomograms and reference grids of plots. In the present paper, a stringent definition of fine sequences of numbers to an arbitrary base is given, the properties of these fine sequences of numbers are investigated, and universal algorithms for constructing functional scales are suggested.
