Effect of Hydrogen on the Fatigue Resistance of Titanium Alloy VT6Ch Under Various Loading Conditions

  • Published:
Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Abstract

The effect of hydrogen on the fatigue resistance of alloy VT6Ch under various loading parameters (cycle characteristics, loading frequencies, stress concentration factor) is studied for specimens cut from a plate in different directions with respect to the rolling axis and annealed in vacuum under various temperatures. The method of design of experiment is used for determining the relation between the maximum failure stress and the test conditions.
