Detecting Explosions with Ionizing-Radiation Measurement of Scattered 137Cs γ-Rays

Abstract

Measurements have been made on the spectra of the γ rays scattered by trotyl and by substances similar to it in density and composition placed behind various shielding materials. The experiments check the scope for implementing γ-tomography for observing and identifying explosives.
