On a Certain Difference Equation and Its Application to the Moment Problem

Abstract

We study the difference equation

$$\sum\limits_{m_1 ,m_2 } {\Omega [\sigma m_1 ,m_2 (z)] = g(z), z \in D,}$$

where D is the unit square, g(z) ∈ A(D), σ m1, m2(z) = z + m 1 i + m 2, |m 1|+|m 2| = 2, and Ω(z)∈ A(cD) is an unknown function.
