Abstract
By minimizing an objective function in the form of the l2 norm, we obtain algorithms for analyzing the reliability of estimating the number of paths of a multipath field and the spatial coordinates of a source. The proposed methods, based on the criterion of wavefront shape, generalize the known techniques for the division of a multipath field with a given number of paths. We present the results of numerical simulations for typical ionospheric conditions.
