Abstract
In the present paper, the magnetic properties of Tb1–x Sm x alloys with different samarium contents are investigated along the <11 \(\overline 2\) 0 > (b), < 10 \(\overline 1\) 0 \gt; (a), and <0001> (c) crystallographic directions in magnetic fields up to 50 kOe in the temperature interval 4.2–400 K. It is demonstrated that small additions of the light rare-earth samarium metal to the heavy rare-earth terbium metal increase the specific magnetization and the effective magnetic moments.
