The “Healing Process” of a Developmental Creative Poetry Therapy as Reflected by the Written Poems (Product Analysis)

  • Published:
Journal of Poetry Therapy

Abstract

This study presents the results of an analysis of spontaneous written expression according to a structured model of Creative Poetry Therapy, sampled from 11 workshops. Despite the profound differences in the composition of the groups (children, youth, adults) there is similarity in the poetic indicators and in the expression of psychological needs. The “healing process” of poetry therapy is reflected in the poetic expression.
