Growth of Isolated Three-Dimensional Crystalline Nuclei in a Mixed Kinetics Mode

Abstract

For the case of the mixed kinetics, equations are derived for the time dependences of the nucleus size and current at N isolated nuclei, which account for the initial stage of the nucleus growth. Approximating formulas describing the system behavior at various time instants and containing equations for the diffusion and kinetic modes as specific cases are obtained.
