Abstract

Coordinated reaction of hands was analyzed during examination of healthy subjects and patients with focal lesions of the central nervous system in order to find the morphological structures responsible for such cooperation. Results of investigation of coordinated hand reaction in healthy subjects to sound and light stimuli with a warning signal are presented. The degree of cooperation was estimated by the correlation coefficient between the values of the reaction time of the right and left hands under conditions of their simultaneous response. In healthy subjects, there exists a strong positive correlation, whose variability in repeated examinations is determined by constitutional features of the subject.
