Calculation of the Optical Spectra of Fluorite

  • Published:
Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

Experimental, experimental–calculated, and theoretical absorption, reflection, and E 2ε2(E) spectra of fluorite crystals were analyzed in the range 6–35 eV. General trends and characteristic features of the spectra were revealed, and the most reliable R(E) data were identified. The experimental–calculated α(E) and E 2ε2(E) data were shown to agree well with predictions of two theoretical models.
