Abstract
Mycorrhizal and Rhizobiuminoculation resulted in a significant increase in the quantities of phenoliccompounds in roots and shoots of groundnut plants, as compared to uninoculatedplants. Production of some new compounds, and increase in the activity of theenzymes peroxidase and polyphenol oxidase, following inoculation was observed.Accumulation of phenolics and the activation of oxidative enzymes were morepronounced in the dual inoculated plants.
