Abstract
The hydraulic activity of portland cement in a solution of polysulfide CaS n was studied. The characteristics of this activity are determined by the alkalinity of the liquid phase and by chemical transformations of the reagent. Generalizations are made, concerning the choice of parameters of joint conversion of the cement and polysulfide at lowered pH values, which ensure direct hardening.
