The Role of the Phosphate Component in the Gelation of a Potassium Silicophosphate Solution

Abstract

The gelation in liquid glass–based potassium silicophosphate solutions prepared at different pH is studied. The phosphorus pentoxide content entering into the gel composition is determined. The physicochemical transformations during the heat treatment of gel powders are investigated by X-ray powder diffraction and differential thermal analyses.
