Rectification Decontamination of Tritium-Containing Waters

  • Published:
Atomic Energy Aims and scope

Abstract

The results of experimental investigations of the main rectification processes for removing tritium from reactor, process, and waste waters are presented. The separation coefficients are presented for rectification of water (1.028), ammonia (1.05), the azeotrope H2O–HTO–HNO3 (1.098), and D2O–DTO–DNO3 (1.039). Practical schemes for detritization setups are examined.
