A Memorial: On Recording the Ending of a Writing Group at a Recovery Program for Addiction

Abstract

We too often let endings pass without marking them. This article describes the making of a poem to record the ending of a creative writing group at a residential facility for persons recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. In the poem, the writing of each of the group members is named and honored.
