On the correlation between cyclohexane and thiophene conversion on Al2O3-supported metals

Abstract

Cyclohexane dehydrogenation and thiophene hydrodesulfurization was studied on alumina-supported Pd, PdMo, Pt, PtMo and on sulfided Pd, Pt, Co, CoMo and two PtCo catalysts. Dehydrogenation and HDS activities of 12 catalysts were compared in total, applying some further data, obtained under similar conditions and reported previously. Correlation was found and discussed between the activities of the catalysts in the two reactions.
