Determination of the Slope of the Phase–Equilibrium Line by Lagrangian Gauges in Shock Waves

Combustion, Explosion and Shock Waves Aims and scope

Abstract

A new idea is proposed for the experimental technique that allows determination of the pressure derivative with respect to temperature at the point of intersection of the shock adiabat and the line of equilibrium of two phases in the pressure—temperature coordinates. The measured quantities are estimated using a particular example of polymorphic transformation of white tin in shock waves.
